A local community group are looking after Knowle Haven, situated on Mayles Lane, Knowle, Hampshire (the closest postcode is given as PO15 6DT). This has been redeveloped from an overgrown paddock with working bee hives, a small pond and a wild meadow plus over 150 trees planted by a handful of dedicated volunteers.
The site is next door to the old Asylum pump house and is on the corner of River Lane, Titchfield Lane and Mayles Lane. The entrance is approximately 300 yards up Mayles Lane from that point.

Portsmouth Friends of the Earth have teamed up with Portsmouth Vegan Club for a screening of COWSPIRACY followed by informal conversation over free food and drink on Thursday 4th May 2017.

Doors open at 6:45PM, the film will begin at 7:00PM and runs for approximately ninety minutes.
Cowspiracy is a must-see film for every environmentalist. This thought provoking and humourous documentary explores the devastating environmental damage caused by animal agriculture, in particular the cattle industry.

The next meeting for Hampshire Climate Action Network is on Saturday 6th May starting at 9.30am (for a 10am start) at the main campus of the University of Winchester, in room 201 of St Edburga building, Main Campus, University of Winchester, Sparkford Road, Winchester SO22 4NR.
Everyone who is actively working against climate change in their community in Hampshire is welcome – there is no formal membership.
They aim to share experiences and news, learn from successes and failures, and work together where appropriate.

The South Downs Fair is on Sunday 7th May this year at the Sustainability Centre, near Clanfield, Hampshire.
The fair will include plenty of activities for all the family. Whether you are looking for a family day out with a difference, or to connect with other local people involved in practical sustainability, it's a day that promises all this and more.
